This book was a great book and a new author to me. I would recommend this to readers who are looking for something different, suspenseful, and hot! I will warn some people that there are mf, fmf and ff scenes. However, this book is so much more than that! So, skip over those parts, if that's an issue, because the bigger part of the story is what the message is really about! I did have some problems with the language, due to the country and phrases used, which I usually don't, but I had was patient and it wasn't enough to turn me away or stop me from reading this book the whole way through! There is a glossary in the back, but it wasn't those words that I had a problem with, although many may, who knows what reader knows what. This book is based on Poppy aka Mak, who went through something as a kid. Due to this, after losing her dad, she takes a wrong turn in life. After letting a friend in, Lottie, and having some family friends (who are more like family, and who help raise her, than they are friends), she decides to take control of her life. This means going back to the past for her. Will the three main people who changed her life in the past, remember her when she confronts them? Will they help to give her the answers she seeks?

Wow this was definitely a book full of surprises. This book touches not only on romance but what it is like to be a recovery drug addict and what it takes to get your life together. In this book you have a gal named Poppy (Mak) who is looking to get some revenge on some people that did her wrong when she was just a little girl at the age of 8years old. She does everything she can to track them down and make them pay for what they did. Eventually getting some help from a very good friend of hers Charlotte(Lottie). As they continue their little revenge seeking they start to realize the feelings they start to have for one another and decide they need to see where it takes them. This is a book that will keep you wanting more and when it ends makes you wonder where this could go. Great Job Shay

This isn't my normal style of book, but I still loved it. I am glad I took a chance and stepped out of my comfort zone.I got sucked into Poppy's world from the beginning and loved every moment of it.I cannot say enough about how much I love the storyline. It had twists and turns that I was not expecting. One minute I was sitting there literally yelling at my kindle because Poppy or Lottie wasn't doing what I wanted, then the next I was crying over something that had happened. I was shocked with some parts, but am happy the story went the way it did. They author could have wrote it so the story went so many different ways, but the way the story went was the best.If you want a read that has you on the edge of your seat, this is the book for you.Well done Shay, I can't wait to now go and read Jenna.

After the death of her Dad, Poppy(Mak) takes some wrong turns in life, deciding that she needs take back her life. After meeting Lottie, they become fast friends. Poppy decides to take revenge on those that have wronged her though out her life. With everything that has gone on in her life, Lottie tells Mak that she’s been living in a time warp and sets out to help bring her to the present.Mak sets off and stars seeking revenge, and you find out what happened to her as a young child, although when Lottie starts to ask questions, she realises that she needs to let her know, what her plans are and Lottie agrees to help her. Then Mak finds out that Lottie had her own revenge as well. Your kept intrigued, with the twist and turns, waiting to see how Mak will plan her next revenge. After everything Mak went through when she was younger and her revenge she does get a happily ever after.

What an incredibly well written story. Shay Bell is a new Author for me and I have to say I am a huge fan of his writing style.This story is raw, rough, and will keep you turning pages. Poppy is a relatable character and I felt like I was standing next to her feeling her emotions the whole way through this book.This novel brings to light how confidence and emotional growth can overcome life’s heartaches and wrong turns.I will definitely read more from Mr. Bell.

This is not something I would typically choose to read but I'm so glad I did. The author has artfully told the story of Mak and her desire for revenge . There is so much going on in this book I really hate to say more for fear of spoiling the book. The characters are interesting, likable and a little quirkyThe author did a great job of setting the scene, I felt as though I were watching the character interactions unfold. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Wow! This book is amazing! It's an interesting storyline - addictive to read and can't put down! Loving the idea of payback and the twists this book takes are not foreseeable! I'd read novels by Shay Bell again for sure!

Definitely not a book I would normally read, however after reading Jenna I knew I had to try another Shay Bell Book.OMG, this book is so full of twists and surprises that you have no idea what the hell is going to happen.Both Mak and Lottie are well developed characters and I enjoyed them immensely. Definitely a nice smattering of fornication in this book. I also enjoyed discussing this book with the author himself.
