This is probably the WORST textbook I have ever owned. Cannot even read past a paragraph. The interior structure and design of the book is just black and white, which makes it so hard to study. Stacks and stacks of words crammed up all together in a page with barely any illustration or spaces in between. Buying this is pointless, since you probably would not be able to understand not learn from it. I would burn this book if I didn't have to return it. Even my prof doesn't want to use it- but still required us to buy it!

I've read A LOT of IT-related books throughout my education and career. I'm working on my second MS degree, and I've worked in the IT field for approximately 10 years. This is definitely the worst book I've read. Overall, the content is good, but I had to force myself to finish each chapter. The review questions are awful and don't match up well with the content. If you are looking for material to instruct a class please look elsewhere.

One of the worst written textbooks I have ever had to use. This is very clearly not written by someone with much textbook writing experience. It is so information dense and takes an incredible amount of time to dissect. Most sentences are many, many ideas strung together and separated by multiple commas.Schools/professors - I beg of you not to use this textbook.Much of the Cisco Academy material covers the same topics but is written in a format and style that is magnitudes easier to digest than this text.

Didn't like this book .. hard to comprehend unless you are a complete computer Gizmo .. otherwise definitely not for the amateur.

Basic text for first or second year computer science student. Lacks in addressing practical issues facing today's integration challenges and the movement to Cloud and AI architectures.

This book sucks

don't buy it. pages get torn easily. the plastic only cover also come off

Not sure what I expected, but I found the book to be kind of basic.
