Review
A New York Times Notable Book “A marvelous new collection of stories by one of the most remarkable writers of our century.” —The New York Times “The major work of probably the most influential Latin American writer of the century.” —The Washington Post Book World “An unparalleled treasury of marvels . . . Along with a tiny cohort of peers, and seers (Kafka and Joyce come to mind), Borges is more than a stunning storyteller and a brilliant stylist; he’s a mirror who reflects the spirit of his time.” —Chicago Tribune “An event worth of celebration . . . Hurley deserves our enthusiastic praise for this monumental piece of work.” —San Francisco Chronicle “Borges is the most important Spanish-language writer since Cervantes. . . . To have denied him the Nobel Prize is as bad as the case of Joyce, Proust, and Kafka.” —Mario Vargas Llosa “When I read a good book, I sometimes like to think I might be capable of writing something similar, but never, in my wildest dreams, could I write anything that approaches the level of cleverness and intellect and madness of Borges. I don’t think anyone could.” —Daniel Radcliffe

Despite my long pedigree of managing to finish "difficult" or "complicated" books I always tend to approach certain literary figures with some trepidation, since as I've learned long ago, finishing a book isn't quite the same thing as understanding what you just read and while everyone has to bring their own interpretations to everything they experience, I always have this nagging fear when reading works of literary merit that large portions of it are not only going over my head, its waving to astronauts orbiting the planet who are thinking to themselves, "How can he not see all the thematic implications in the layers of historical allusions?"Borges is one of those writers that I've always looked forward to reading but sort of mentally approached with caution, not sure if I'd be fully able to appreciate all the philosophical and historical references that he threw into his stories without either having a degree in literature or at least a better background in Latin American history that I currently possess. Couple that with a tendency on Borges' part to lean toward a sort of proto-magical realism and you've got a recipe for me scratching my head for five hundred pages almost positive that I'm reading very close to a genius level of writing and story construction but its like asking me to describe in great detail how the harmonious elements of a Michelangelo sculpture all intersect when viewed as a whole. My response, in both cases, I expected to be, I haven't the faintest clue, it just looks nice.Fortunately there isn't much to worry about. Borges is, if nothing else, a playful writer and while I can't be sure I got even ten percent of what he was attempting to convey to me in a psuedo-magically realistic form, he's more than capable of giving you story after story that exists almost as a fable, telling a story but also illustrating whatever philosophical point he's attempting to make. Read purely for surface pleasures, the stories stand just fine . . . start delving into the meat of what he's really trying to say and they begin to unfold with fascinating depth. This collection contains all his short stories (other books tackle his poems and non-fiction essays for those so inclined), organized by the original collections and one of the nice things about the semi-chronological approach is that not only do you get to see his style evolve but also his focus over time as he toys with different types of tales and genres, even dipping into fantasy more than once. He's an easy writer to read, with a dense style that's almost conversational in how its presented. more often than not coming across as a tale being told to you by the writer instead of as a story you're reading. He's a big fan of unconventional words but not so much that I had to keep running to a dictionary every other page. What I probably would suggest to anyone wanting to do a deep dive into Borges is brush up on Argentinian history to a basic extent . . . I didn't and the numerous references to battles and historical events may cause you to stop dead or at least miss the context of what the story is trying to do. If nothing else, it may behoove you to get a passing familiarity with epic 19th century poem "Martin Fierro", which gets referenced so often you'd think Borges had it tattooed on his body somewhere (all kidding aside, its super famous in Argentina and probably one of those things that all schoolkids have to memorize . . . needless to say, it influenced an entire generation of writers). But with all the requisite background research out of the way, the best way to appreciate Borges is to read the stories themselves, which are maddeningly consistent in quality and strikingly different even when he seems to be going for the same idea at several different angles. I found the first collection ("A Universal History of Iniquity") to be embryonic with its details of historical figures with certain details changed. Its a good example of what you're in for . . . he's going to give you enough details so that you'll recognize it as true but the changes are where the key lies and figuring out why he changed it could open up a whole new interpretation of the person in question.Still, as fun as those are for the people among us who enjoy literary games for me the real Borges didn't start until the "Fictions" collection. Here the real fascinations start and before long you've delving into worlds where labyrinths are commonplace, gauchos are so numerous you might trip over one if you don't look where you've going and perceptions of time and space are either not what they seem or can be altered by someone who tries really, really hard. Fantasy fans may find themselves on more solid ground here, between tales like "Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius" (also known as "The Encyclopedia That Took Over the World" and so dense that it seems like analysis of the story is longer than the story itself) and the famous "Garden of Forking Paths" (entertaining on first read but probably requires both rereading and more background to really sink into the ideas the story is pondering) but already he has this gift of taking strange concepts and rendering them in a tone both calm and uneasy, conveying them in such a matter of fact way that some almost come across as scholarly essays about being trapped in hypothetical libraries based on mathematical philosophies.Yet none of these come off as dry. Throughout the book his tendencies to mix fact and fiction, fable and reality, drama and philosophy allow for an experience both thoughtful and entertaining. Basically, you come for the story about standing in a spot in some random basement allows you to see all of existence at once but stay for the philosophical implications the tale uncovers ("The Aleph", another of the more famous tales). One aspect that struck me on reading them was how concise he was being despite having to often pack a wealth of information into a very limited space. A collection from 1960 called "Makers" is extraordinary in how he manages to conjure entire worlds in a series of stories that are only a page or two each, sometimes acting more as prose poems than traditional stories. He makes it work and he did for it seems his entire career. Later stories like "The Book of Sand" almost seem like Lovecraft stories if good ol HP was interested more in intellectual musings than tentacles, as in this case where an infinite book from nowhere apparently seeks to drive men mad. In fact, for a friendly Latin American fellow he seems to enjoy stories where irrational objects do irrational things and nearly drive someone nuts in the process, with "The Disk", "Blue Tigers" and "Shakespeare's Memory" all having the same premise of an impossible thing not working out well for anyone involved. It all adds up to one heck of a career. Considering how many stories there are in the book (most not long at all although they certainly aren't light reads) its amazing to see how few even "average" stories he has in here . . . in every tale there's an interesting scenario to ponder, a fascinating angle on an idea put forth, a number of interesting turns of phrase. There's wonder and a little bit of horror and a lot of musing on memory and the nature of stories. I can't say its for everyone but as far as esoteric things go, its got a broader potential audience than almost everything else I've read. For people who like fables, who like fantasies, who like stories that don't go on for fifty pages, who like philosophy in a palatable form, who like authors that like to be both serious and have fun. There are probably smaller collections of Borges out there, so maybe a person on the fence might not want to dive into the whole kaboodle but the thing is you could have ten people assemble a "Best Of" and beyond a few key stories probably get ten different lineups . . . he's that varied and that consistent so there's really no reason if you're interested in this kind of thing to not go whole hog and worst case pick and choose instead of plowing through like I did (probably the smarter idea, as if it gives you more time to let the stories sink in . . . but I have a large backlog so there's no time for dallying). The best of these stories stick with you immediately while the remainder linger in the subconscious, emerging as slightly new ways of seeing, not so much like getting new glasses as realizing you had the right lenses the whole time, it was only the world that needed to be adjusted.
This is something very hard to find, almost by definition: a literary writer who thinks in abstract terms (the only other such author I've read is Stanislaw Lem). These are philosophical thought experiments in their purest form, yet somehow magically delivered in a playful literary athmosphere. Borges is a mathematical philosopher, first and last. Ignore the "Latin American" categorization and the nonsense about his background and personal life: one should resist embedding him in a socio-cultural framework; he is as universal as they come. It is good to read a short story once in a while to see how literature and philosophy can be saved by the parable.
Those words were written on my Amazon Marketplace receipt from Blue Leaf Books by someone with the initials EDG, along with a thank you for ordering the book on March 23, 2017. In fact, I did avoid the labyrinth for almost two years because I knew it would be quite a challenge. I had first “read†Borges’ “Labyrinths†as a 20-year-old. I’m sure I could not have understood any of it at that time. But the years have passed (I won’t say how many) and, fortunately, I decided this was the year that I would make the effort to read Borges’ Collected Fictions, beginning to end, slowly. Near the end of the book, I found myself going back through the pages and finding stories I wanted to read again right away. As one excellent reviewer (Michael Battaglia) wrote, “finishing a book isn't quite the same thing as understanding what you just read,†and this is one book I feel must be read several times. Each time, you will understand more, but you will have the feeling that yet another reading will give you still more understanding. I found it amusing that one of the last stories, “Blue Tigers,†included the following sentence: “I did not sleep the night of Feb. 10.†I was reading this particular story during the afternoon of Feb. 11. Was Borges playing with my mind? I’ve since ordered a copy of Borges’ selected non-fiction and poetry. One must NOT avoid the labyrinth.
An anthology of Borges short stories. It's absolutely fantastic; I bought this for a class, and though the class is over I am keeping this book.
As good as it gets when it comes to the short story. The writing is spare, says only what's needed to make the story flow. No excess, no flowery displays of the author's skill. Refreshing...
Borges was an author I always figured I ought to read but who sounded too hifalutin for me to like it. Then I read "The Immortal," one of the stories, in a book store and I was hooked. The stories I enjoyed were like Umberto Eco, except the ideas were often a little weirder (which made them more interesting), and Borges doesn't go on at boring length the way Eco does sometimes. This is an advantage of the short story form.
I discovered Jorge Luis Borges, not through some literature class, or from other post-modern writers. Instead I discovered his work through science fiction. His weird worlds often have, inadvertently, a science fiction flavor, and it is several of his stories that have appeared in science fiction story anthologies that I first learned about this most unusual writer. I was disappointed to see just how scattershot his work was, however, until the publication of this latest and complete translation. They are all here--the stories that introduced me to his work..."The Library of Babel" "Tlon, Uqbar, Orbius Teritus" and others. And many stories I had never heard of...or ever seen more than a mention of. It's a hefty volume, but if you like writers like Umberto Eco, or simply want doses of something other than our mundane banal reality, Borges' work, sadly and idiotically ignored for a Nobel prize, is worth a try. And this volume, the complete and definitive collection of his stories, is the one and only book you need purchase.

If you are graduating or have recently graduated college, this is a must read book! It is motivational and makes you feel like others are in the same boat. I graduated a semester early in December and struggled a lot moving back home before deciding what the next best step was .This book explained how to handle new community, making/keeping friends after college and how to live back at home or in a new place. The faith value was an added plus. Even if you have someone who isn't a Christian, I still think this is an important read!
I highly recommend this book to any college seniors, grad students, recent graduates, or young professionals. You may think you are very prepared for life after college with your dream job, a great place to live, a budget, etc. However, there are many other challenges that school does not prepare you for. This book covers these challenges, such as finding friends, relating to your parents, navigating dating, embracing change, and so much more! The information I learned through reading this book made my transition into life after college very smooth. This book brought my attention to items I never would have considered preparing for, and I believe this made all of the difference in my smooth transition. Therefore, I highly recommend the book, and I wish everyone luck in preparing for life after college.
As 25 year veterans of post-secondary education and parents of a young adult, we are thankful for this new addition to our 'must read' book suggestion list for students! We'll be using this in a senior seminar course and have already given away a few copies. Reitz balances 'wise advice' with personal stories and contributions from alumni. She touches on all of the topics that this generation of young adults need to consider as they transition into life after college, and has a well-researched bibliography that can be used to dig deeper. The questions/prompts at the end of each chapter are thought-provoking, but should not be overwhelming to consider. Young adults can use this as a guidebook and mentors, faculty, parents and anyone else interested in gaining an inside look into the challenges faced by recent graduates will also benefit from the insights and suggestions. Could easily be used in a small-group discussion setting or as a supplemental resource for personal development.
Well written, amply illustrated with stories. Would be beneficial for recent grads and those perplexed by their transitions. Author provides words for many of the complexities encountered post-graduation
As a recent college graduate, After College was such a helpful book for me as I was trying to navigate life after college, while most importantly, maintaining my faith. While Erica did not know my personal situation, and how I was handling this stage of life, her words made it seem as though she was speaking to me personally. I highly recommenced this book!
Excellent. I highly recommend it!
The book was terrific, well written with practical advice for many. The book was an easy read, I'd recommend it to anyone seeking good advice about life transitions.
The transition out of college is at best a rollercoaster of emotions and challenges. At worst, it lands you in some dead ends. But even dead ends can be made good with a little guidance. Enter "After College." There's really nothing like this out there to be a friend in the process like this book can.Reitz has a way of taking struggles out of abstraction and Christian-ese lingo into the grounded, tangible realm. She's brought her years of experience with students in transition to bear in this book. This is a "how-to" manual but one full of nuance and story and experience and understanding.I personally benefited in my transition from college by being around Erica Reit'z work up close and personal. Senior Exit, based at Penn State University, is the on-the-ground manifestation of the ideas she talks about here. I participated in this group when I was a senior at Penn State and it made a difference. Seriously: these aren't wasted pages. They work.Everything offered in "After College" is actionable. It's clear. It's detailed. It's hopeful. It's to everyone's benefit that Erica's community efforts are now available in a book. To you. Right now!

From Library Journal
Medieval architecture brings to mind Gothic cathedrals and fortified castles. But those styles were developed from earlier traditions, as detailed by Stalley (history of art, Trinity Coll., Dublin). Covering the period 313-1200 C.E., Stalley discusses the influence of early Christianity prior to the emergence of the Gothic style. He examines stylistic periods as well as the elements of engineering and construction, the cooperative efforts of builder and patron, and the broad categories of secular and church structures. Photographs of buildings, diagrams, and period art tie in well with the text. Though the focus is specialized, Stalley's book is inviting to both students and general readers. This fine addition to Oxford's series, neatly written and presented, is recommended for public and academic libraries.-Karen Ellis, Nicholson Memorial Lib. Syst., Garland, TX Copyright 2000 Reed Business Information, Inc.

Review
"In his enjoyable book, Stalley examines architecture in western Europe, from the legalization of Christianity in 313 CE to the period around 1200, when patrons began to prefer the Gothic style.... Each chapter is well illustrated and clearly written, and the book ends with a concise section of endnotes, a useful bibliographic essay, and a well-designed time line incorporating religious and historical event as well as architectural chronology."--CHOICE"This is a book that is well-conceived, cogently organized and lucidy written."--Professor Stephen Murray, Columbia University

I hate to have to leave a 1-star review, but this is the only option Amazon leaves its customers when they receive a bad product. I ordered a brand-new book, sold directly by Amazon, and received a dog-eared copy with a badly-creased and scratched cover. Also, all 4 corners of the cover were either bent, creased, abraded and/or torn.Contents of the book itself are of very high quality, densely factual and well-illustrated. Too bad it was marred by a deceptive sales experience.
Solid and well written, covering a fairly short period of builders and building and therefore more focused, comprehensive to the specific subject, and attentive to intricacies than many architectural books. Better than most in the Oxford series.
If one is looking for a well-researched overview of early medieval architecture, this is an excellent source. Well-illustrated in addition to being well-written and edited, this was a delight to read.
Very useful for class.
This is a wonderful overview of early medieval architecture for those who want to delve a little deeper than a basic introduction (without getting thrown in the deep end). Author's style is clear and engaging. Gorgeous photographs throughout.
I use this book as an art reference and I love the detail that it gives about the buildings as well as the layouts.
It is a good book, very interesting and with great pictures that allow to understand better
Very little writing and excellent condition, I was very impressed!!

This has really helped me come to terms with what I am leaving behind, and it is helping me understand that I can move on to a better place. So much insight and understanding, Mr. Mulholland really knows what he is talking about and how to help.If you are in doubt about buying this book watch his speech about his experience leaving his religion, it is on youtube and well worth your time if you are nearing or in a faith transition. .
This is an OUTSTANDING book! It touches on the real issues that you have when walking away from religion, it is not atheist driven, just getting out and finding new paths, the peaks and pitfalls. A must read for anyone interested in a road map to a world without religion. Written in a very positive tone, a pleasure to read.
My wife and I were raised Mormon/LDS. This book has been an indispensable part of our transition away from that religious tradition. At first we had a hard time knowing how to live outside of Mormonism, the only life path we had ever experienced. Reading this book together, as a couple, and discussing the issues, has helped us immensely as we have embarked on a new journey. The book is full of useful tips and I highly recommend it.
Great book, extremely practical and helpful. Nice man too
I found this book very helpful practically in leaving my religion, would recommend if you are thinking about leaving or have left your religion. Easy to follow with good information and it's said in a way that does not make you feel bad for ditching your old beliefs!
Mulholland says it like it is--the realities of leaving religion and helps easethe loneliness of the process and all it entails.
This is going to sound ridiculously hyperbolic, but if I had to pick one book for everyone over the age of 18 to read, it would be this one. It's the most helpful book I've ever read in my life.
For millions of people, religion is no longer working for them. They are harboring deep doubts about their faith and are finding their religion to be inadequate—intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. Many are prepared to act on these doubts and begin the process of leaving their religion behind. As the author notes, for those becoming “post-religious, there is very little being written by them or for them.†There are many books available to help manage doubts and stay within a religious tradition. There are also many tomes that aggressively rail against faith. In many ways, this book is in the middle. While it focuses on the reader ready to move away from religion, it is written in a kind, respectful tone and is tailored to help the reader manage through the emotional, difficult issues associated with walking away from something that has meant so much. The author—a former pastor—knows the myriad challenges associated with leaving a religious tradition. As someone who understands how momentous this transition can be, he is a terrific partner and teacher to have at your side. While the decision to walk away is not easy, this book will help you with the transition. As someone who has left religion behind, I can assure you it is worth the hardship. I only wish this book had been written for me a few years ago! This book is an important contribution and is highly recommended.

I really like this book except for a few things. The design goes into the binding enough that it is hard to color the whole picture. Also both sides of the page are printed. I don't press hard enough on my pencils to have any bleed thru but for someone using markers or another medium it would be difficult to not ruin one side. It is artful and fanciful and I have enjoyed the actual designs.
I love the designs; they range from easy to color to very intricate. The paper quality is very good, but I do have 2 issues with the book. 1- Images are printed back to back, thus am limited to using only coloring pencils. Some designs have a lot of fine details, and I would have loved to do them justce using very fine tip markers. 2- The actual designs are comprised of two pages. Essentially you have a legal-sized design to color. I would not mind this IF the pages didn't have another design on the opposite page.
Since each of the 42 illustrations cover two pages, the center of the drawing in uncolorable. Check out some of the images people have posted. Without a margin by the seam, the pictures are tucked into the seam. Very bad design.
Coloring has become my new favorite pastime & this book has been the perfect jumpstart to my adult coloring madness! I enjoy the combination of architecture & cityscapes. It allows me to be a little more conservative in my color schemes or run wide with my imagination. I color at night while listening to audio books. It's such an enjoyable [& very inexpensive] hobby! My husband says I've become a true 'Arteest' ;-).
Really wanted to like this adult coloring book, but poor construction has left me quite frustrated. The paper rag content is quite low and my color pens bled through not only the other side, but they even bled onto the next page! Since the publishers decided to save money by printing on every sheet, there's a whole 2 page spread ruined. I thought it might be my new markers, but tried them on a different coloring book with zero bleed. Add this to the fact that illustrations go right through the seam and it makes coloring difficult. There are no perforations so you cannot cleanly remove pages; binding is like a normal book. Some of the illustrations are nice, but if you want to use pens and not colored pencils, you will be sorely disappointed.
This is four of four books I bought for hubby who is recovering from shoulder surgery. Was able to take the sling off and I knew he needed something to do to keep him from damaging his shoulder. He has enjoyed the coloring of the cities, is working on one with the sun behind skyscrapers. I asked him his opinion and was surprised at how pleases he is, he is usually quite fussy about such activities. He complained non-stop about a couple of similar crafts I bought for him. Fortunately, we had three boxes of coloring/watercoloring pencils besides the one I bought so he has a good selection of colors. My only negative aspect is that many of the pictures consists of being on two pages, hard to get to the section in-between the two pages. I would prefer that they be perforated so they could be taken out and then taped together when finished to make the whole picture.
Beautiful, interesting, fun pictures I'd love to color with my Copic Sketch Markers. However they make the unthinking mistake of printing on both sides of the paper so you can only color one page and the other is ruined due to bleed through. I have the entire Prismacolor colored pencil set, plus sets by Derwent. Some pictures lend themselves to colored pencils, but some pictures have too much white space, outlines that are too dark to work with pencils, etc. This line of coloring books fall into that category. It would take a lifetime to complete with colored pencils and the outlines are so dark it would just eat up your pencils and not have the quality a sketch marker would produce. Would be a great series, love the pictures, but hate to lose half off the book because the author couldn't print on one side of paper only.
While better than flowers or whatnot, I couldn't engage with this book. After "Fantastic Cities" by Michael McDonald, very few cityscape coloring books give the same challenge, including this one. It might be great for People new to architectural coloring (as opposed to common Mandalay and flower themes). As far as the physical properties of the book, the books deep gutter really detracts from each two-page City. The pages didn't always line up so even if you could get to the middle of the seam, coloring in it is pointless because each spread has no continuity in the drawings. Pretty Basic didn't care too much for the paper either, as I use brush-tipped ones.I've flipped through the book several times, hoping a page to color will grab my attention. Every time, however, I get to the last page with without a selection. Needless to say, my book has no coloring in it.Had I not paid only $1.00 for it, I'd have buyers remorse.
I have to say coloring was one of my favorite past times and this totally had brought that to a new level. This book has some many cool pictures that when brought to life with what ever color choices you choose are simply exciting. I can sit for hours and color and sometimes have lots track of time. My wife who laughed when I told her I bought a coloring book now sits down and colors one side of the page while I color the other. Its become a total blast for us both and is very relaxing.

Although I own each of C.D. Carter's books in various formats, this one was the easiest to test and apply. Using poker and investment strategies quoted straight from the mouths of the best and brightest are Carter's best analytic tools. In this book C.D. delves into avoiding the psychological pitfalls that the herd mentality is prone to while making for fun and practical reading. Highlights include analyzing process- vs. results-oriented behavior. One's own. That's helpful in winning in fantasy sports from preseason mocks to early drafts ... and helps one make money playing Daily Fantasy Sports. For those of us who play DFS in multiple sports, the lessons are applicable beyond fantasy football and can be used for daily baseball (or basketball) as well. Choosing a new lineup each day rather than drafting at season's start and managing the roster across an entire season provides freedom as well as pitfalls and Carter highlights what to avoid and where to pounce. A must-have read for any fantasy sports player.
I’ve been a break even DFS player for about three years now. I stumbled across this book on amazon and given that I have a general interest in fantasy football and the fact that the price of this book was right up my alley I decided, what the hell, why not take a stab in the dark on this quick read. I’m glad I did. This book offers more than just a little DFS strategy advice, it also offers a way to avoid mistakes and most importantly how to think for yourself. I finished this book with a myriad of life lessons that I can apply to many different areas of my life, as well as, to DFS.
An interesting book if you want to learn about the thinking patterns and thinking traps that both expert fantasy players and expert poker players use and/or try to avoid. It is well written, although a little repetitive, and researched. I gave it 3 stars because I thought the book was more a guide. I wanted solid advise and clearly defined processes that I could use quickly, not something that requires me to do a lot of self examination on the way I think.
Whether you are a seasoned DFS player or a seasonal fantasy footballer, you will learn a lot from this book. C.D. Carter distills DFS down to its essence...decision making when money is at stake. As such, he calls on the lessons of two of the best known examples: poker and investing. With a lot of awesome quotes from experts in both of those fields, Carter writes in a fun, accessible style that is very easy to follow...and get wrapped up in. I finished the book in only two sittings. As a neuroscientist that loves fantasy sports, I'm drawn to the idea that knowing yourself and your opponent is a critical aspect of the game. This book points out several situations in which your own emotional responses are hurting your decision making abilities, and points out that an advantage in DFS can be gained by taking advantage of this phenomenon in your opponents.Put simply, if you read this book you're putting yourself in a better position to win more often. Do it!
I am a fantasy writer/analyst and I rarely used to read much stuff that wasn't my own. Then I started playing DFF on DraftKings ... and my wife bought me this book on Kindle for Christmas. It was well written and highly informative. I recommend it to anybody looking to learn about DFF strategy/tactics.
Mr. Carter again illustrates how our innate thought process and emotions can sabotage the pursuit of optimal fantasy football techniques. He nails the distinction between traditional fantasy football and the daily version of the game - which is accompanied by a unique set of pitfalls. It is both thoroughly researched and extremely well-written.Ultimately the book draws a roadmap toward self-awareness for the reader/DFS gamer. It is a psychological boot-camp of sorts, and is required preseason reading for anyone preparing to play daily fantasy football for the first time, as well as those who already have. It's also a great way to get fired up for the upcoming NFL season.
The first few pages opened my eyes to how I was allowing fear to ruin my approach to building lineups, and that hooked me into reading more. The more read, the I knew I had to change my thinking or I'll be dfs player stuck in limbo wondering why I'm not winner. With information I have a fighting chance. An awesome read and highly recommend.
A well written account of the daily fantasy grind with a plethora of good insight on how to teach your brain to be a winner. Carter uses methods from proven successful stock brokers and poker players to teach us how DFS is about perseverance and a winning attitude, how to honestly evaluate yourself and your decision making and how to utilize the strategy of the marketplace in building a winning mentality for DFS. This is a must-read for anyone, new or old, to daily fantasy. Highly recommended.
